摘要： Methods for deploying improved telecommunication services. The methods comprise the steps of providing one or more existing service packages (22), each being a set of instructions for deploying a telecommunications service. In a further step the method provides a platform runtime environment (12) that has a work flow engine (40) and a pipeline engine (44) that is capable of interpreting the service package (22) to carry out the instructions therein. In an additional step, the method provides a user interface for configuring the one or more service packages. The user interface is configured to receive user input by offering a plurality of functional elements that may be manipulated by a user to describe one or more operations of the service packages, each functional element having one or more properties that may be controlled by the user. In a further step the method configures one or more features of the service package in response to the user input to alter the telecommunications service.

摘要： In one aspect, a method for determining a validity of an identity asserted by a speaker using a voice print that models speech of a user whose identity the speaker is asserting is provided. The method comprises performing a first verification stage comprising obtaining a first voice signal from the speaker; and comparing it with the voice print. The method further comprises performing a second verification stage if it is concluded in the first verification stage that the first voice signal was obtained from an utterance by the user, comprising adapting at least one parameter of the voice print, obtaining a second voice signal from the speaker, and comparing it with the adapted voice print to conclude that the second voice signal was obtained from an utterance by the user.

摘要： The invention provides systems (2000), including microfluidic mechanisms, methods, and kits, for the microfluidic manipulation and/or detection of particles, such as cells and/or beads. These mechanisms may enable controlled input, movement/positioning, retention/localization, treatment, measurement, release, and/or output of particles. Furthermore, these mechanisms may be combined in any suitable order and/or employed for any number of suitable times in the system to allow particles to be sorted, cultured, mixed, treated, and/or assayed, among others. These combinations may allow the response of particles to treatment to be measured on a shorter time scale than was previously possible. Therefore, systems of the invention may allow a broad range of cell and particle assays, such as drug screens, cell characterizations, research studies, and/or clinical analyses, among others, to be scaled down to microfluidic size. Such scaled-down assays may use less sample and reagent, may be less labor intensive, and/or may be more informative than comparable macrofluidic assays.
