    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically create a bill of quantities from an electric system wiring diagram. SOLUTION: An electric system wiring diagram, a cable legend setting table and an equipment legend setting table are created. A cable list is created from the cable legend setting table. An equipment list is created from the equipment legend setting table. Data on cables are extracted from the electric system wiring diagram data, and a required cable quantity table is created wherein layers and attributes are described in wiring system number order. Data on equipment are extracted from the electric system wiring diagram data, and a required equipment quantity table is created wherein symbol names are described in equipment number order. The data in the required cable quantity table are read out, and cable wiring specifications corresponding to the data are extracted in reference to the cable list and are entered in given fields of a bill of quantities together with the data. The data in the required equipment quantity table are read out, and equipment specifications corresponding to the data are extracted in reference to the equipment list and are entered in given fields of the bill of quantities.     • An image processing method that differentiates image data using an image processing system that includes a processing unit and a storage unit includes: acquiring image data; sequentially picking up pixels one by one at a predetermined pitch from among the pixels that constitute the image data and setting the picked up pixels as reference pixels; setting a close region around each of the reference pixels; calculating an average value of densities of the picked up pixels for each of the close regions; setting a wide region larger than the close region around each of the reference pixels; calculating an average value of densities of the picked up pixels for each of the wide regions; and calculating a difference between the density of each of the reference pixels and a corresponding one of the average values of the densities of the pixels of the wide regions.
