    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply controller having a monitoring timer and simultaneously adjusting the operations of a plurality of switching power supply units of different types. SOLUTION: The switching power supply controller 1200 controls the plurality of switching power supply units for supplying power to a host microprocessor. The switching power supply controller 1200 includes a central process unit module 1205 having a monitoring timer configured to count down a timer unless a reset signal is received from the host microprocessor, and a microprocessor, wherein microprocessor causes an interrupt when the monitoring timer completes and provides a reset command to the host microprocessor in response to the interrup received from the monitoring timer.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain relatively high voltages applied to an input pad, and to generate corresponding signal levels at a supply voltage range in circuit.
      SOLUTION: An input circuit includes floating wells, corresponding bias selectors, and input biasing transistors to ensure that no gate oxide film is exposed to external voltages which sustain a voltage greater than a predefined value. Bias selectors select an available highest voltage to reverse bias corresponding floating wells and ensure that transistors are not electrically overstressed. As input-related terminals experience switching related voltages, the bias selectors select alternate terminals to continue selection of the highest voltage available and provide correct reverse biasing conditions. A resistor and clamp generate translated output voltage levels limited to the supply voltage range in circuits. A latch output enables pull-down transistors to provide a correct low-level output signal.
