    • The description relates to a process for obtaining and handling samples and a device for implementing it, whereby it is to be ensured that a representative sample is possible from a through-flow line and the samples can be transferred to, kept in and extracted from the sample flask in sterile and isobarometric conditions. Among the measures of the process therefor, the sample flask in the closed, pressure-tight state is pressure-proofly connected to a sample tapping device (3) fitted on a through-flow line (1), a first connecting path (6) between the inside of the sample flask (2) and the sample tapping device (3) of the through-flow line (1) and a second connecting path (7) between the inside (20) is opened, the inside of the sample flask (2) is rinsed by the supply of a suitable gas from a gas line (16) connected to a foreign gas source (14) via both connecting paths (6, 7) and its content is replaced by said gas, the inside of the sample flask (2) is released at the end of the sampling process while maintaining the static pressure of the sample tapping device (3) and is thereby pressure-tightly closed and the volume of the sample is taken from the sample flask (2) while maintaining the static pressure and in sterile conditions and taken to an analysis device. The device includes a valve block (35) in which are produced the essential precautions for sampling in the form of the valves (11, 12, 13) arranged within it, by means of their seats (35d or 35e or 35f) and by means of the lines in it like the inlet line (19), the gas lines (16, 16a, 16b), the pressure equalising line (20) and the outlet line (21).
