摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for quickly connecting a handpiece (400) to a pressurized fluid source (300). A hollow tube on the handpiece (400) is inserted through an aperture in an annular (100) gasket which is held in a chamber (500) in a body. On application of pressurized fluid to the body, the gasket is pressed against the walls of the chamber, and against the tube, thereby channeling the pressurized fluid through the hollow tube. The handpiece is retained in connection with the body by a releasable connector, such as a latch (944). The handpiece can be removed and replaced by releasing and remaking the connection.

摘要： This invention is a method, and device for treating one or more vessels at a bifurcation (10) without blocking or restricting the flow of blood; an expandable and deformable stent (25) having a cylindrical body; and an angled portion (27) at one or both ends. The angled stent (25) is located, and oriented at the bifurcation (10) so that when expanded the cylindrical body and the angled proximal end (27) fully support the first vessel without compromising or interfering with the second vessel. One or more of such angled stent (25) may be deployed at a bifurcation (10).

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for quickly connecting a handpiece (400) to a pressurized fluid source (300). 摘要： A hemodialysis port (10) comprising a flexible housing member (25) defining one or more ports (3a,3b,3c). Each port (3a,3b,3c) has a selectively-permeable septum member (20a,20b,20c) disposed thereon to permit medical devices, for example, Huber needles (35), sheath and/or dilators to be inserted therein. At the interface between the housing (25) and the septum (20a,20b,20c), a spring member (21a,21b,21c) is provided to provide an axial force on the septum (20a,20b,20c) which seals the puncture created by the aforementioned medical devices. In one exemplary embodiment, the hemodialysis access port (10) of the present invention is comprised of a plurality of ports (3a,3b,3c) designed for multiple hemodialysis treatments over the life of the port. In other exemplary embodiments, the bottom (16a,16b,16c) of each port may comprise a needle stop insert formed of, for example, metal, titanium, stainless steel or ceramic.
