    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the frequency of a digital signal to be transmitted on a signal transfer path in a safety PLC higher than that in a conventional way concerning the safety PLC having duplexed power supply circuits. SOLUTION: A system A (a circuit 201) and a system B (a circuit 202) are connected with a signal transfer path L having an MELF resistor R 1 and perform communication via the signal transfer path L. A DC output voltage B_Vcc is normally applied to a point p B . By the above configuration, even when a fault such as short-circuiting occurs in a DC power supply device for supplying the DC output voltage B_Vcc, the DC output voltage B_Vcc of the DC power supply device is not more than 4.0V. Consequently, the resistor value of the MELF resistor R 1 is set down to 2 kΩ even when the rated current of an operation circuit arranged in the system A is 2 mA.
