    • An optical disk apparatus includes a printed circuit board; a stator fixed on the printed circuit board; a rotor configured to receive an optical disk thereon, the rotor being rotated by an electromagnetic interaction with the stator; and a sensing part fixed on the printed circuit board and sensing a rotation of the optical disk. Here, the sensing part includes a sensor; a terminal connecting the sensor with the printed circuit board electrically; and a plastic mold fixing the terminal thereto. The optical disk apparatus has a reduced number of components to allow reduced production costs, and has a simple manufacturing process to allow reduced production times and defect rate.

    • An optical disk apparatus is disclosed which includes a first printed circuit board, on which a first circuit pattern is formed; a rotor, on which an optical disk may be placed, and which is electrically connected with the first circuit pattern; a second printed circuit board, which is stacked adjacent to the rotor on a surface of the first printed circuit board, and on which a second circuit pattern is formed; a sensor unit, which is mounted on the second printed circuit board in electrical connection with the second circuit pattern, and which is configured to sense a rotation of the optical disk; and a support plate, which supports the first printed circuit board and the rotor. In this optical disk apparatus, a separate printed circuit board can be utilized to support the sensor unit, whereby manufacturing costs can be reduced and working efficiency can be improved.

Certain embodiments of the invention allow easy height adjustments for the encoder holder, so that the encoder may maintain a particular distance from the disk, and also allow the encoder to be fitted onto the base plate, even in cases where the base plate has a limited mounting area.
