Check lift valves.-An extra air inlet device for internal-combustion engines comprises a casing 1 opening into the induction pipe at 2 and provided with a suctionactuated valve 5, the stem 6 of which projects from the casing and is surrounded by a closing- spring 8 situated between a fixed washer 7 and a cross-head 9, which is adjusted by a Bowden wire or other device 13, 15, within reach of the driver to vary the tension of the spring. The cross-head 9 is guided on rods 10 extending from the valve seat 4, and is operated by a cotter 11 which passes through slots 12 in the valve stem 6 and bears upon the face of the cross-head.

The tension of the loading- spring 19 is varied by a flexible connection 20 attached to a plug 17, which carries a pin 18 bearing against a disc 14 provided with guide lugs 16 engaging slots 9 in the wall of the casing.

摘要： A process for producing bio-diesel is described in which a consolidator in the form of a hydrocyclone is located between the processor or reactor and a separator to improve the efficiency of the overall formation of bio-diesel. The present of the consolidator in which the major constituents of the bio-diesel is in one part or in one flow both within the consolidator and the by-products are in another part of flowpath within the consolidator acts to condition the mixture from the processor so that more efficient separation can take place in the separator thereby reducing the time taken to achieve separation of the bio-diesel component from the by-product.

The functionality within a proxy server, a combination of network address translation, proxy address resolution protocol, and proxy domain name service, allow the proxy server to support and provide full IP client functionality to any IP-enabled network device in any proxy server enabled LAN. The proxy server may be added to an existing Ethernet (or Ethernet-emulated) LAN. Once configured with the necessary subnet range, DNS, and IP pools, the proxy server provides support for any mobile device that enters the LAN.

摘要： A compact reactor and a method of using the compact reactor is described in which the compact reactor is assembled in the form of modules of individual reactor elements interconnected together. The reactor elements are a selection of straight reactor elements and curved reactor elements. The reactor elements can be a single type or can be multiple pipes. The reactor elements are connected in such a manner so that part of the reactor bends or folds back upon itself so that the reactor has a small footprint and/or occupies a small space. The advantage of the compact reactor is that long residence times in the reactor can be attained using lengthy reactors but without occupying a large space or requiring structural reinforcement to support long linear lengths of reactors. The compact reactor is cheaper to manufacture and occupies less space than conventional linear reactors. The reactor is used particularly to transesterify oils, fats, greases and similar products to produce bio-diesel or bio-diesel fuel components.

摘要： The invention relates to a composition containing a catalyst suitable for producing ethylene and other C2+ hydrocarbons at high selectivity while improving both methane conversion and product yield. Particularly, the catalyst contains mixed metal oxides having at least one alkali earth metal and at least one rare earth metal along with an alkali metal promoter in the form of an alkali metal or in the form of an alkali metal tungstate. The invention further provides a method for preparing such a composition, using a calcination process to calcine the alkali metal promoters together with mixed metal oxides. Additionally, the invention further describes a process for producing C2+ hydrocarbons, using such a composition.
