In a sack-holder where the sack mouth fits between inner 10 and outer 15 rings, the rings being pivoted together about an axis 14 parallel to a tangent to the rings, for movement into and out of a common plane, one of the rings is split transversely near the pivot, each end of said ring being independently supported for pivotal movement and being arranged to be resiliently urged circumferentially in order to clamp tightly the sack between the rings. As described, it is the outer ring 15 which is split at 17, each end being brazed to a U- bracket 18, while the inner ring 10 is riveted to a bracket 11. Resilient washers 22 urge together the ends at 17. The cross-section of ring 15 is a segment of a circle, the curved surface being turned inwardly so as to prevent tearing the sack when clamping. In preferred use, the sack mouth extends over, outwardly and downwardly of the inner ring 10. A handle 24 is secured to the outer ring, and the pivot holes (21) in arms 20 of brackets 18 are elongated in the plane of the rings as illustrated in Fig. 2 (not shown), to facilitate resilient movement of the ends 17.

摘要： The invention relates to elastomeric products that are coated with a thin layer of elastomeric polymeric coating containing an antitoxic agent, particularly a demand disinfectant iodinated resin. The antimicrobial coated catheters are prepared by adding the antitoxic agent to a solution of a liquid elastomeric polymer and then coating the surface of the elastomeric through a dipping or spraying procedure. The antimicrobial coatings can be applied to a variety of different elastomeric products including gloves and catheters and are capable of providing a high level of protection against microbes and other contaminants.

摘要： A method for disinfecting microorganisms in metalworking fluids without leaving behind unacceptable amount of chemicals in the treated fluids. The method comprises passing the fluid in a recirculating cooling system through a filter, which contains a demand disinfectant, preferably an iodinated resin. The iodinated resin inhibits the growth of microorganism in the fluid, which is then cycled back into the system. The present invention also relates to a filter and system for disinfecting microorganisms in metalworking fluids.

Additionally, the manufacturing process produces iodinated resins that have better overall biological performance than resins produced by prior art methods owing to higher degrees of iodine in the manufactured resin particulates and higher degrees of uniformity of iodine content when comparing particulate to particulate.

摘要： A protective cover is disclosed for coin operated telephones which includes a coin box for storage of coins and a coin return opening for providing the user with a refund of unused coins. The protective cover is constructed of heavy gauge protective steel plate and is dimensioned to extend across the entire width of the telephone while providing limited, but sufficient access to the coin return opening of the telephone by including a relatively small opening to provide such access. A door which blocks the opening in the steel plate is pivotally mounted to the rear surface of the plate and is dimensioned to pivot rearwardly when returned coins are retrieved by the user, thus preventing stuffing of the coin return area. The door is greater in the vertical dimension than the vertical dimension of the relatively small coin return access opening and includes a rearwardly depending flange at the lower edge portion and a forwardly depending flange along each vertical side portion to prevent tampering or stuffing of the opening. The vertical flanges are approximately equal in length to the vertical dimension of the opening and extend forwardly to the forward surface of the steel plate. Limited pivotal movement of the coin return protective door is permitted by the protective cover. The protective cover is permanently attached to the locked cash box vault door and is therefore readily removable along with the vault door. A method for protection of coin operated telephones is also disclosed.

摘要： The invention provides a novel method of generating fabrics with outstanding antitoxic properties. The antitoxic properties are imparted to the fabric by introducing an active agent such as an antimicrobial or antiviral agent to the fabric. The active agent may be introduced into the fabric at multiple stages of the manufacturing process. For nonwoven fabrics, the active agent can be introduced during web formation and/or during post-processing steps. The fabrics produced in accordance with the present invention have widespread utility. For instance, they can be used as wound dressings, gowns, drapes, air filters, protective clothing and wipes.
