摘要： A method and system for creating and managing a stored value account associated with a client device is disclosed. A first stored value and an associated first virtual token may be created. A graphical representation of the first virtual token may be displayed on a display of a client device. An exchange request may be received, and a second stored value account may be created along with an associated second virtual token. Next, an animation that includes a transition from the first virtual token to the second virtual token may be displayed on the display of the client device. The animation may include a peel-off effect in which the first virtual token appears to curl away to reveal the second virtual token when the first virtual token has been exchanged for the second virtual token.

摘要： A method for determining an appropriate redemption presentation for a virtual token associated with a stored value account is disclosed. The method may include receiving a request for presenting a redemption presentation of a virtual token and obtaining a merchant identifier associated with the request. The method may further include determining if the request is for one of an on-line transaction and a transaction with a point-of-sale terminal, and if the request is for a transaction with a point-of-sale terminal, then searching a database using the merchant identifier to find one or more redemption presentations of virtual token preferred by a merchant. Subsequently, the one or more redemption presentations of the virtual token may be transmitted over a computer network to a client device.

摘要： A system and method for collecting and managing information taken from tokens, like credit cards and gift cards, includes a portable computing device (PCD). The PCD may support a token recognizer that may comprise hardware and/or software that may reside in memory of the PCD. The token recognizer may work in combination with a camera. The token recognizer may comprise a broad recognizer module and an optical character recognition ("OCR") module. The camera of the PCD may capture images of one or more physical tokens. These captured images of the physical tokens may be processed by the token recognizer so that digital images as well as data provided by the physical tokens may be maintained in memory of the PCD for later presentation to the user. These later presentations on the PCD may be used for account management and for conducting transactions, such as making payment at a point-of-sale (POS) terminal.
