The system includes one or more dedicated mobile content reader devices (109) which utilize a simplified and easy to use navigation interface for scrolling between and selecting various items displayed on a display screen of the device (109). The simplified navigation interface is realizable by virtue of performing content management and personalization functions for the devices (109) at a web-portal (103) separate from the device (109). In one embodiment, an information providing system comprises one or more dedicated mobile content reader devices (109); a server device (104) for receiving content feeds (10) from remote servers (150) over a first network (108) and for pushing a user-selected subset of said received content feeds (10) to the one or more dedicated mobile content reader devices (109) via at least said first network (108); and a web portal (103) hosted by said server device (104) for providing a web portal view of content feed hyperlinks, wherein each of said content feed hyperlinks is associated with a particular content feed (10) stored on one of said remote servers (150).

摘要： A foldable display device (electronic book) (10) , comprises cover members (11a, 11b) and a flexible display screen (20) . In one design the screen is unrolled from a rolling mechanism (30, 31) on opening and rolled up again on closing. A fixed attachment (31) ("screen guide") of the free end of the screen to a cover member opposite to that to which the rolling mechanism is attached, ensures that the rolling of the screen is automatic. A generalisation to more than two cover members is also described. In a second design (12) , the rolling means is dispensed with: the flexible screen (20) is permanently fixed to both cover members irrespective of the device being open or closed. The part of the screen above the hinge (16) in the open position is bent and accommodated into a recess (escape) groove (15a) ("loop seat") on closing to avoid kinking the screen.

摘要： A rollable display (101) is wearable on a sleeve (103) . The display (101) is part of a wrist-based device with a "U" shape. A part of the device is on top of the sleeve (103) . The display (101) can be rolled out for use as needed. The device itself may be flexible or bendable i.e. have a x-igid, U-shape or may allow the "U" shape to be folded out, for example by a hinge or sequence of connected segments that can be rotated freely, but which keep their position after being moved. The display (101) may be rolled out from under the sleeve (103) and then over the sleeve (103) along a predefined curve by means of a guiding mechanism. The device is easy to use, allows the use of large displays that may always be visible and allows freedom in the display design with respect to the direction in which the flexible display (101) is rolled out .
