    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lightweight sintered compact having a large size of shape or a complicated irregular surface.
      SOLUTION: An inorganic component (its basic materials are a mineral containing natural glassy material such as Shirasu or the like or feldspar and bentonite and clay, and a foaming agent is added) which foams at burning for porcelain and an alumina-siliceous balloon whose refractoriness is higher than that of the inorganic component and having a shrinkage property when burned are mixed. The mixing ratio is 70-40 wt% for the former and 30-60 wt% for the later. A formed compact is formed using the mixed raw material and then burned. The forming is performed by a dry pressing method after the inorganic component is wet-pulverized, dried, powdered and mixed with the balloon or by a molding method after the inorganic component is wet-pulverized, slurried and mixed with the balloon. Whichever method can be selected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add stainproofing property and antislipping property excellent in safety by uniformly forming fine recesses and projections on the surface with ink. SOLUTION: A glaze layer 2 is formed on the surface of a tile base (main body) 1, on which fine recesses and projections of ink 3 are formed by intaglio printing and burned. Intaglio printing is carried out, for example, by using a silicone rubber roller having a specified rugged pattern formed on the surface by using laser beams, and the recesses and projections 3 are periodically arranged with 30 to 100 μm height of the ink and 200 to 400 μm interval. The burning conditions of the tile are controlled in such a manner that the ink is slightly fused to leave recesses and projections after calcination, while the glaze is fused and integrated with the tile base so that recesses and projections are not fused or mixed with the glaze. By forming the fine recesses and projections, a sucking effect between the surface of and a body in contact with the tile to show excellent antislipping property, especially when the surface of the tile is wet with water. Moreover, since the interval of projections is large compared to the height of the recesses and projections, the tile can be easily cleaned.
