摘要： PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and yield by pressing and inserting specified length of blank pipe into a roll die consisting of a pair of round grooved rolls, reducing the diameter to specified diameter difference and pulling back the blank pipe. CONSTITUTION:One set of rolls 1, 1a of a roll die consists of a pair of rolls 3 having round grooves 2, 2a, and three sets 3, 3a, 3b are arranged in tandem at right angles to each other. A steel pipe 4 inserted into the roll die from the tip as shown by the arrow 5 and stopped at a position after passing the set of rolls 3b by specified length. After pulling back the steel pipe 4, the pipe is turned by 90 deg. and inserted again by the same stroke and pulled back. Thus, a three stepped product is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the working accuracy of a product by executing rolling by setting the gap in each rolling position of a rolling roll narrower by the gap variation amt. decided by the ratio of rolling load to mill toughness. CONSTITUTION:The rolling test of a deformed sectional bar 11 is executed by using the rolling device composed of a simple circular columnar rolling roll 3 and the fixed lower die having a simple circular arcuated recessed face 6. In this case, the variation amt. of gaps calculated by the ratio of rolling load to mill toughness is calculated from the load distribution measured by the width direction of the bar 11. Then, the padded fixed lower die 2 providing build-up parts 1, 1 equivalent to the calculated gap variation amt. is manufactured on the recessed face 6 of the lower die 7. When rolling is executed by these lower die 2 and roll 3, the thickness accuracy of the thin metal part 16 of the bar 11 becomes better. Consequently the working accuracy of a product is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of a product by bisecting the center part of a stationary die in rolling direction and varying the length of the flat face of the stationary die in the rolling direction by providing a spacer in the gap thereof. CONSTITUTION:The recessed groove 4 corresponding to the shape of a product cross-section is provided on the lower face of a rolling roll 3, a spacer 5' of flat upper face is arranged at the roll 3 lower part and stationary dies 7, 7 divided at both sides thereof are arranged. A rolling test is executed in advance by using a metal bar to calculate the variation amt. of a roll gap calculated by the value of the ration of load to mill toughness on a measured load distribution. Then, the gap is varied by the gap variation amt. thereof, the gap with the recessed face 6b of the split die 7 is set and the thickness of the spacer 5' is changed. The flat part length of the lower die can be adjusted only by prepg. simple spacers 5, 5', hence the manufacturing cost of a product deformed sectional bar is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce efficiently an irregular shaped bar having a step different in thickness in the transverse direction by forming an axial hollow groove to the surface of a rolling reduction roll, inserting intermittently a blank bar therein and rolling transversely the bar except in the hollow groove thereby forming the step. CONSTITUTION:The hollow groove 4 in the axial direction of the rolling reduction roll 3 which rolls back and forth on a flat plate 2 is formed on the surface of said roll. The shaft of the roll 3 is inclined with respect to the plate 2 to narrow gradually the gap between the plate 2 and the roll 3 in the axial direction of the roll. The blank bar 1 to which tension is applied in the longitudinal direction is inserted intermittently into the space between the plate 2 and the roll 3 in the axial direction of the roll. The bar 1 is rolled transversely except in the groove 4 to form the step to the bar 1 in the transverse direction thereof.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a titled rolling mill which can wind and mount an annular work around both rolls by the insertion and removal of an intermediate work roll and tension roll and can remove the product by constituting both the rolls in such a manner that the rolls can be inserted and removed in the axial direc tion of the rolls. CONSTITUTION:A mounting means 41 for a work 43 is inserted into a bearing hole 24 between holders 20 while the tension roll 22 is held by a roll rest 40. The roll 22 is inserted into the bearing hole 24 in the state of pinching the tension roll 22 by means of a pair of right and left pushers 38, 39. As a result, the annular work 43 is mounted to the roll 22. The holders 20 are returned to a horizontal position in this state and a forming tool 27 is slid leftward to press the work 43 by a forming part 29, by which the work is formed to the long elliptical shape shown by a chain line. A tensioning cylinder 17 is thereafter extended to insert the work 43 grasped by the roll 22 and the forming part 29 onto the extension line of the axial center of the intermediate work roll 12 existing in the standby position. The roll 12 is skewered in this state onto the work 43 so that the work 43 is wound and mounted around the two rolls 12, 22. The work 43 is rolled by pressing of a rolling-down roll 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable easy reproduction of wear, fatigue, etc. caused on an intermediate roll by rolling by driving an intermediate roll test piece and two end roll test pieces and by making it possible to give a load to the two end roll test pieces toward the intermediate roll test piece by a liquid pressure through backup rolls and to adjust the load. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate roll test piece 1, upper and lower roll test pieces 2 and 3 as end roll test pieces, and upper and lower backup rolls 4 and 5, are provided. The intermediate roll test piece 1 and the two end roll test pieces 2 and 3 are driven to roll in mutual contact respectively by a roll test piece driving device, and they are put in slide contact due to a difference in a drive speed between them. Besides, the two end roll test pieces 2 and 3 are given a load toward the intermediate roll test piece 1 through the backup rolls 4 and 5 by a load giving means operated by a liquid pressure, while the two end roll test pieces 2 and 3 are pressed against an intermediate roll by a separate load. By this method, the wear and fatigue due to rolling and slide abrasion caused on work rolls in an actual machine, as well as the wear and fatigue due to rolling caused on the intermediate roll, can be reproduced simultaneously and easily.

Each intermediate housing is built in an integrated type housing 6 and a cylinder 7 for rolling reduction and load cell 8 are arranged between the integrated housing and each intermediate housing. A rolling load is correctly measured by the load cell, a rolling object can be rolled in a correct thickness and no roll mark is generated. The rolling material with good quality can thus be obtd.
