    • [Problem to be Solved]To provide an audio FM transmitter that achieves high-precision frequency control as well as compact size and low cost by enabling FM modulation using a fractional-N type PLL circuit.[Solution]An audio FM transmitter 1 that analog FM-modulates an audio signal using a PLL modulator 8 and transmits the FM-modulated audio signal includes: the PLL modulator 8; and a controller 11 for outputting a frequency divider setting signal to the PLL modulator 8. The PLL modulator 8 includes: a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator 8a for performing outputting according to a reference signal caused by the oscillation of a resonator; a phase comparator 8b for converting into a voltage the phase difference between the signal output from the voltage-controlled crystal oscillator 8a and a phase comparison signal input from a fractional-N type frequency divider 8e and outputting the voltage as a phase difference signal; a loop filter 8c; a voltage-controlled oscillator 8d; and the fractional-N type frequency divider 8e. The PLL modulator 8 is configured as a digital PLL modulation means that can control the oscillation frequency according to the frequency divider setting signal. The voltage-controlled crystal oscillator 8a outputs an FM-modulated signal by analog FM-modulating the oscillation frequency of the reference signal with the audio signal.

    • A medication dispensing cart (10) having a computer and monitor (12), a work surface (16) with pull out keyboard (18), and plural drawers (30) arranged as a vertical series of cassettes that can be added as needed. The battery powered device uses software and pass codes for controlling access to each drawer, and requires a second pass code for any drawer designated to contain narcotics. Records can be kept of who dispenses what medication and when for each cart in a system of carts. The cart in the system is in wireless communication with a system administrator. Emails alerting the system administrator of low battery power, of a cart switching to off, of an attempted break-in, and of inventory and usage data are sent automatically by email.

    • A medication dispensing cabinet provides controlled access to medications and supplies stored in it. The cabinet may include at least one lockable storage compartment, and a controller that controls access to the at least one lockable storage compartment. The cabinet may include multiple printers integrated into the cabinet. The cabinet may include a camera operably coupled to the controller. The cabinet may include a set of cabinet electronics, and a power distribution and communications circuit board. The cabinet may include a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader, wherein the controller conditions access to the at least one lockable storage compartment on receipt of information from the RFID reader. Data may be stored in the controller according to an implementation of RAID technology. The controller may include multiple electronic communications network interfaces, and may include an out of band network communication channel. A dispensing cabinet may facilitate printing of labels for medications.
