    • The present invention relates to exchanging a cell-specific parameter such as the A-MPR, comprising information related to a required additional maximum power reduction of a UE transmitter between networks nodes. The networks nodes may be radio base stations or other network nodes such as radio network controllers or core network nodes exemplified by access gateways (aGWs). By exchanging this cell-specific parameter with information of the required additional maximum power reduction between the network nodes, the cell-specific parameter is provided to the radio base station of the serving cell which implies that the serving cell can send the cell-specific parameter of the target cell to the UE prior to the handover from the serving cell to the target cell. This result in that the UE can start transmission to the target cell with the correct cell-specific parameter and the out-of-band emission requirements can be fulfilled in the target cell.

    • A mobile terminal transmits one or more first communication channels in a first frequency region and one or more second communication channels in a second frequency region. With the channels experiencing different fading conditions, the terminal receives separate transmit power control (TPC) commands. Instead of simply adjusting the transmit power of the channels as commanded, the terminal computes a power offset indicative of the difference between the commanded power of one or more of the first channels and the commanded power of one or more of the second channels. The terminal then selectively performs transmit power control of the first and second channels on either an independent basis, according to the respective TPC commands, or a joint basis, depending on whether the computed power offset falls outside of a pre-determined range of values. In doing so, the terminal allows independent control of channels, while also mitigating self-interference and/or spectral emissions.

    • Mobile communication system equipment avoids interfering with another transmitter's operation. Sensing information indicating whether the other transmitter's signal has been detected is received from remote sensors, wherein each of the remote sensors is situated at a respective one of two or more sensor locations. The sensing information and information about the sensor locations is used to ascertain one or more exclusion boundaries needed to avoid interfering with the other transmitter's use of the spectral resource. Beamforming parameters are ascertained that will enable the main node to transmit within one or more predefined geographical areas except for any portion of a predefined area located on a far side of the one or more exclusion boundaries. Two or more adjusted signals are produced as a function of the beamforming parameters and one or more signals to be transmitted. The adjusted signals are transmitted from respective ones of two or more antennas.
