    • The invention provides a method for forming a composite membrane, including: (a) loading a substrate into a chamber; (b) performing a first cycle step in the chamber to form a single aluminum oxide (Al2O3) layer; and (c) performing a second cycle step in the chamber to form a single hafnium oxide (HfO2) layer. The steps include: (1) introducing an Al element containing a first reactant into the chamber; (2) removing the first reactant from the chamber; (3) introducing an O element containing a second reactant into the chamber; (4) removing the second reactant from the chamber; (5) introducing an Hf element containing a third reactant into the chamber; and (6) removing the third reactant from the chamber. The first cycle step is composed of steps (1) to (4), and the second cycle step is composed of steps (3) to (6).

    • A variable length decoder and its decoding method utilizing a reordered index decoding look-up-table, and that is utilized to incorporate a plurality of decoding LUT's into a single reordered index decoding LUT for use in decoding by making use of the output correlation rule obtained through integrating a plurality of decoding LUT's.     • A motion vector (MV) prediction method and a prediction apparatus thereof are applicable for a video image encoder/decoder to predict an MV of a video image. Firstly, segment a macroblock in the video image into microblocks. Then, configure a row memory and three register memories to register the MV required for prediction. Finally, the MV stored in the row memory or the register memories at a position corresponding to the current microblock to be predicted is used to predict the MV of the current microblock to be predicted in the current macroblock to be predicted. After the prediction is completed and moved to another macroblock or microblock, the MV stored in the row memory or the register memories is updated according to a predetermined storage updating condition.
