The transition box comprises an enclosure a fiber optic adapter (34) removably mounted in the enclosure. 摘要： There are provided fiber optic local convergence points ("LCPs") adapted for use with multiple dwelling units ("MDUs") that facilitate relatively easy installation and/or optical connectivity to a relatively large number of subscribers. The LCP(IO) includes a housing (12) mounted to a surface, such as a wall, and a cable assembly (30) with a connector end to be optically connected to a distribution cable and a splitter end (32) to be located within the housing. The splitter end includes at least one splitter (42) and a plurality of subscriber receptacles (38) to which subscriber cables may be optically connected. The splitter end of the cable assembly of the LCP may also include a splice tray assembly and/or a fiber optic routing guide. Furthermore, a fiber distribution terminal ("FDT") may be provided along the subscriber cable to facilitate installation of the fiber optic network within the MDU.

摘要： There is provided fiber drop terminals ("FDTs") and related equipment for providing selective connections between optical fibers of distribution cables and optical fibers of drop cables, such as in multiple dwelling units. The FDTs require relatively little area and/or volume while providing convenient connectivity for a relatively large number of optical connections. The FDTs include adapters for optically connecting the connectors, and the adapters of some FDTs are adapted to rotate, move, or otherwise be removed to provide convenient access for technicians. Some FDTs and the related equipment are adapted for use with microstructured optical fiber having preferred bend characteristics.

摘要： Mounting devices for optical devices, and related sub-assemblies, apparatuses, and methods are disclosed. The mounting devices may be employed to secure optical devices that are configured to convert optical signals to electrical signals, or electrical signals to optical signals. The mounting devices may be configured to secure optical devices to an electronics board, such as a printed circuit board (PCB) as an example. To preserve signal integrity, the mounting devices may also be configured to align the optical devices with electrical lead connections on the electronics board. The mounting devices may also be configured to improve grounding of the optical devices to provide and improve radio frequency (RF) shielding to avoid degradation of signal-to-noise (S/N) ratios from RF interference from electronic devices on the electronics board and other nearby electronic devices.

摘要： Multi-port optical connection terminals and mounting platforms and related methods designed to secure optical components inside an enclosure of the multi-port optical connection terminals are disclosed. In one embodiment, a multi-port optical connection terminal includes an enclosure comprising a base and a cover configured to attach to the base to define an interior cavity. A mounting platform defining a mounting surface for mounting at least one optical component comprised from the group consisting of at least one splice tray and at least one optical splitter to the at least one mounting surface is provided. A plurality of mounting tabs of the mounting platform are configured to extend into channels disposed in an interior wall of the base. In this manner, the mounting platform and any optical components secured thereto are secured inside the interior cavity, which may prevent damage to optical fibers and/or splices of the optical components.

The FDT assemblies include a base (12,712) and a cover (22,722) that define a tongue (678) and groove (670) that selectively engage to seal the base and cover. The FDT assemblies also include a mounting plate (715) for mounting of the base (712) and cover (722), as well as a mounting plate extension (716) for mounting of a skirt (718). The skirt provides slack storage for drop cables exiting the FDT. The components of the FDT assembly are selectively interlockable to prevent unauthorized access to the interior cavity of the base and cover and to the slack storage area of the skirt.
