摘要： A transmitter/receiver circuit for one station of a microwave radio system comprising one signal path (10) for upconverting a signal for transmission from an antenna and a second signal path (20) for downconverting a signal received on the antenna. A single local oscillator (12) runs at twice the duplex frequency and is used to provide the signals for the upconversion and the downconversion: the oscillator signal is used directly for upconversion, and is divided by two for downconversion. A local oscillator synthesiser (17) effects the final upconversion stage of the transmitted signal and the initial downconversion stage of the received signal. Thus, the arrangement is of simple construction and requires fewer local oscillators than prior art devices. Also, the local oscillator synthesisers for two communicating radio stations can be of exactly the same, relatively simple design.

摘要： A microwave transmit/receive assembly comprising a microwave integrated circuit (MIC) module mounted to an E-plane filter block (E). The MIC module comprises a metal baseplate (B) having a dielectric layer (D) carrying conductive microstrip tracks (T) forming microwave integrated circuitry for processing transmitted and received signals. The printed circuit board carries additional circuitry and the MIC module and the PCB are connected by means of transistor headers (TH). Thus the construction of the microwave transmit/receive assembly is relatively straightforward and inexpensive because it eliminates the need for several complex assemblies which must be connected together by, for example, coaxial cable.

摘要： A microwave radio antenna assembly comprises a radio frequency head (20) which is detachably mounted to an antenna casing (10) and can be attached or detached by an operator using a single hand. The casing (10) is formed with arcuate slots (14), and the radio frequency head (20) comprises studs (26) which engage with the slots (14). The end of each slot (14) is enlarged so that the enlarged heads of the studs (26) can be inserted through the slots when the head (20) is in a particular orientation relative to the casing (10): the head (20) can then be turned to align with the casing (10), the studs (26) sliding along the slots (14). To remove the head (20) from the casing (10), the head (20) is turned such that the studs (26) are aligned with the enlarged ends of the slots (14) such that the head (20) may be removed.
