    • The present invention provides for a seal arrangement (4) comprising monitoring means (6) and a seal portion. The monitoring means (6) comprises at least one means for determining the integrity of said seal portion, said determining means being arranged to deliver a signal to at least one radio frequency identification (RFID) means (12) for producing an output signal in response to the integrity of the seal portion as determined by the said means for determining. The present invention also provides a container, a pipe section, a pipeline and a closure member provided with such a seal arrangement.

[Also in Division B2] In a combine harvester, a sieving apparatus comprises a circular sieve 1 across which grain to be sieved is moved by means of one or more brushes 2, thus causing the oversize grain to be removed at the periphery or centre of the sieve and the undersize grain to be collected beneath the sieve. The sieve may be flat, dished (Fig. 2) or conical and may consist of a circular plate or disc which may be perforated or in the form of a mesh grid. Movement of the grain towards the periphery or centre of the sieve is governed by the shape of the brush and its direction of rotation relative to the sieve. In Fig. 7, two sieves 1 are mounted one above the other. The grain is fed from a duct 3 on to the upper sieve. The coarse grain is brushed by a rotating brush 2 to the periphery of the sieve into a funnel 12 which feeds it on the lower sieve where the sieving operation is repeated, while the fine grain which has passed through the screen is removed via a funnel 13. In Fig. 8, the feed pipe 3 is connected to an auger 5 which feeds the grain into a chamber 7 where it is met by an upward air current supplied through a pipe 6, which may be a central support for the brushes. The air current removes the lighter constituents of the grain and directs them towards a pipe 8. In Fig. 11, the undersize and oversize grain is collected on flat horizontal members 12 1 , 13 1 and is brushed to centre ducts 4, 4 1 and to an off-take point X at the axis of the apparatus, The sieving apparatus is mounted as at 10, Fig. 10, in gimbal bearings on the combine harvester alongside the driver 11 so that a visual check of its performance may be made.
