    • The present invention provides a power converter that can be used to interface a generator (4) that provides variable voltage at variable frequency to a power grid or supply network (14).     • The present invention provides a power system that has particular application in marine vessels. The power system includes a first ac generator (2a) that is connected to a first ac busbar (36a) for distributing power.
