摘要： The present invention relates to a Serial ATA (SATA) external storage apparatus, and more particularly, to the connection structure of a main board, which has an electronic circuit mounted therein and is installed within a SATA external storage apparatus, and an interface card. The present invention provides a connection structure between a main board and an interface card in a SATA external storage apparatus that accommodates one or more hard disks and is connected to a host through Serial ATA (SATA) interface, the connection structure including a SATA data interface card that is spaced separately apart from the main board and is provided within a housing of the storage apparatus, and a modulized slot disposed on the main board within the housing of the storage apparatus. The SATA data interface card is an independent SATA data interface card disposed within the housing of the storage apparatus, and a slot connector coupled to the modulized slot is provided at one portion on a PCB of the interface card, and host connectors connected to a host cable are provided at the other portions on the PCB of the interface card.

摘要： The present invention relates to an external storage apparatus using serial ATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment, S-ATA) interface technology. More specifically, the invention relates to a network storage system, which can store (the storage capacity is variable along with the increase of capacity according to the manufacturing technology) up to approximately 1.6TB data (in case four hard discs are mounted) by providing an external housing separately, mounting hard discs inside the housing through a carriage panel, and providing a S-ATA interface main-board, which is electrically connected to the hard discs. In such a system, disclosed is an external storage apparatus of a serial ATA type comprising a housing structure, which is emphasized on easiness and convenience of construction, a cooling structure, which can exhaust and cool the heat generated by a long spell of operation of multiple hard discs, and an integrated cabling system, in which a hard disc can be connected to a host individually, or the mounted hard discs are connected to a host in one-to-one manner by one cable.
