摘要： A diagnosis device, and more particularly, a compartment syndrome diagnostic device is described herein. The diagnostic device may include a display that renders information associated with stimulation of a motor unit suspected of suffering from compartment syndrome. The diagnostic device may generate a stimulation signal for stimulating the motor unit through an electrode. The device may determine whether the motor unit is at risk for compartment syndrome based on the response of the motor unit to the stimulation. The diagnostic device may also measure pressure of a compartment. The device may determine whether the motor unit is at risk for compartment syndrome based on the measured pressure and the response of the motor unit to the stimulation.

The diagnostic device may include a display that renders information associated with stimulation of a motor unit suspected of suffering from compartment syndrome. The diagnostic device may generate a stimulation signal for stimulating the motor unit through an electrode. The device may determine whether the motor unit is at risk for compartment syndrome based on the response of the motor unit to the stimulation. Alternatively, the adapter may be a percutaneous adapter comprising a connector configured to connect to an operative element of a stimulation device and a lead wire connected to the connector. A needle may be connected to the lead wire to deliver a electrical stimulation signal to a target tissue located beneath the skin of a subject patient.

摘要： Systems and methods according to the present invention provide a means for determining, as an example, the health or location of nerves. A determination according to the present invention may include semi¬ quantitative threshold testing using intra-operative electrical stimulation to determine whether one or more nerves are functioning as expected. A determination according to the present invention may also be utilized to determine or predict the success of a surgical procedure that may affect the functioning of one or more nerves. Semi-quantitative analysis may be performed by comparing electrical stimulation intensity, or an approximation thereof, at which a threshold neural response is observed to an expected or previously applied electrical stimulation intensity, or an approximation thereof.

摘要： Improved assemblies, systems, and methods provide safeguarding against tissue injury during surgical procedures and/or identify nerve damage occurring prior to surgery and/or verify range of motion or attributes of muscle contraction during reconstructive surgery. Such improved assemblies may be utilized in embodiments of methods according to the present invention allowing, preferably by a single hand, manipulation, carrying, parameter adjustment and/or informational feedback generation from within a three-dimensional field, or perimeter. Single-handed operation and easily identifiable feedback generation is desirable especially where focused attention is required, such as during surgery observed through a microscope.
