    • A tube coupling comprises first and second coupling components (12,14) having transversely extending sealing end faces (26, 38) in aligned face-to-face relationship. First and second nut members (16, 18) are arranged to drive the sealing end faces towards each other. An annular anti-twist member (60) is located between the first nut member (16) and the first coupling component (12) for conducting axial forces from the first nut member (16) to the first coupling component. The annular anti-twist member (60) and the second nut member (18) include axially inter-engaged portions (66) for preventing relative rotation therebetween.

    • In a coupling having first and second coupling components (12,14) with opposed end faces (30) including sealing ribs (30) extending axially therefrom with an annular sealing gasket (32) is interposed therebetween, a retainer (60) maintains the gasket (32) in a predetermined located position relative to the end face of one (12) of the components. The retainer (60) has a sleeve-like body (62) defining a retaining portion closely received over the one components (12) at an area rearwardly from the associated radial end face (30). Axially extending fingers (66) are spaced about the retaining portion (62) and extend axially beyond the associated end face (30). The annular sealing gasket (32) has an outer periphery of a diameter at least slightly greater than the inner diameter of the sleeve-like body (62). Recesses (68) are formed in the outer periphery to receive the axially extending fingers (66) whereby the gasket (32) is maintained in aligned relationship with the end face (30).

    • A dielectric tube coupling includes a tube-like body (10) having a circumferential ramp (16) on the exterior periphery thereof. Opposed, non-conductive flared sleeves (30,40) are disposed in surrounding relationship with the body (10) so that the flared portions (34,44) thereof closely engage opposite faces (18,20) of the ramp (16). A threaded connector (70) surrounds one of the sleeves (40) and has an angled internal portion (74) thereof in exteriorly abutting relation with the flared portion (44) of the sleeve (40). The connector (70) threadedly receives a coupling (50) which includes an internal angled shoulder (54) disposed in exteriorly engaging relation with the flared portion (34) of the other sleeve (30). The tube-like body (10) has one end (14) sealingly disposed by means of an O-ring (64) and a back-up washer (68) in a seat (78) included in the connector (70)
