摘要： Disclosed is a chiropractic belt 10 having two belt segments 16 and 18 joined together by a central elastic section 12. There is an elastic cross-structure 26 which overlies and is connected at the intersection of the cross-structure to the mid-section of the elastic member. The ends of the cross-structure are connected to the belt segments. Right hand and left hand tensioning members 58 and 60 are attached at the midsection at the intersection of the cross structure, with free ends of the tensioning members being adapted to be connected or disconnected, respectively, to the left and right hand belt segments.

The second node may implement one or more interfaces, where each interface includes one or more callable functions. An interface wire connecting the first node to the second node may be displayed in response to user input. The system may automatically configure the first node to access at least one of the one or more interfaces of the second node in response to displaying the interface wire.

The assembly includes a rear panel and a rearward roof panel that can be moved along track guides that extend from a rear portion of the vehicle to the top of the vehicle. The rear panel can be translated from a first position to a second position such that the rear panel and roof panel are generally opposing and parallel to each other to open a lower portion of a rearward passageway of the vehicle. Thereafter, the rear panel and the roof panel can be translated above a top portion of the vehicle to open an upper portion of the rearward passageway.

摘要： An arrangement (apparatus and method) for monitoring jitter caused during transport of digitally-coded information in a packet switched network, and for managing network operations in accordance with the detected jitter. The detected jitter is used to determine whether corrective action is necessary, such as rerouting network traffic, or performing network maintenance. The disclosed arrangement detects program clock reference (PCR) values from an MPEG-encoded transport stream, whereby each pair of PCR values represents an expected arrival time of a corresponding stream segment. An actual arrival time for the corresponding stream segment is determined in response to detection of the corresponding PCR values and an independent clock signal. The expected arrival time of the stream segment and the actual arrival time are correlated with an accumulation of expected and actual arrivaimes of previously-received data packet stream segments in order to determine the jitter in the digital data stream. The jitter is corrected by a combination of adaptive buffering techniques and restamping the PCR value with corrected values coinciding with the actual arrival time of the stream segments.

摘要： A fibre optic sensor 1 comprises a body 2 of a matrix material which includes an embedded length of optical fibre 3. When the body 2 is exposed to an external disturbance, mechanical and strain forces arising internally can be transmitted to the fibre 3 and will modify the passage of light therein. Pulsed light through the fibre 3 can be sensed for example by interferometry to measure the disturbance. This can provide an inexpensive and sensitive sensor construction which is capable of the remote detection of various parameters.

The expansion joint bracket may include a base member having multiple nail holes for securing the bracket to the earth (or sand or gravel put down prior to pouring concrete there upon). First and second board support members may run perpendicular to the base and parallel to each other to hold the expansion joint board in place. Gussets, typically triangular shaped gussets, extend from the board support members to the base member. The expansion joint brackets may be disposed every 12-24 inches on the expansion joint board and concrete may be poured over the expansion joint brackets.
