    • An oil/gas reservoir completion pipe (1) is provided with at least one external sensor, e.g. 2-6 sensors, such as a resistivity electrode (6) or a pressure (7) or temperature sensor (9), at least one of which is preferably external to the pipe supported by means of strapping, or a releasable or non-releasable framework or housing externally mounted on the pipe. A method of determining one or more formation parameters, e.g. resistivity, pressure and temperature down hole e.g. in a reservoir to provide information on conditions therein may be carried out on a continuous basis during production by passing said completion pipe into the reservoir and measuring the parameter. Parameters may also be measured during withdrawal of oil and/or gas from the reservoir.
