摘要： A food waste disposer has a food conveying section that receives food waste and water; a grind section including a grind mechanism, and a motor section including a motor. The grind mechanism includes a rotating shredder plate assembly that is rotated in a grind ring to grind food waste to form a slurry of ground food waste and water. In an aspect, the upper end bell has a circumferentially sloped floor and the upper end bell include a turbulence imparting feature that imparts turbulence in the slurry as it flows through a discharge channel of the upper end bell. In an aspect, the upper end bell has a flat floor and a shredder plate of the rotating shredder plate assembly includes a pumping vane that extends into the discharge channel and occupies at least twenty-percent of a cross-sectional area of the discharge channel. In an aspect, the motor is an induction motor.

摘要： An electronic system for securing a shipping container includes the hasp of the shipping container, a bolt seal, and an electronic locking device. The electronic locking device includes a housing, two arms, a sensing circuit, and electronics. The housing encloses a support carriage, an electronics compartment, and a barrier between the two. The pair of arms extend from the support carriage and couple to the hasp. The arms pivot between locked and unlocked configurations relative to the hasp. The bolt seal locks the arms. The sensing circuit, which includes two sensing contacts, is in a "closed" or "open" state depending on whether the arms are pivoted into the locked or unlocked configuration. The electronics recognize whether the sensing circuit is in the "closed" state or the "open" state and output the state of the sensing circuit, thereby indicating whether the arms are locked or unlocked.

The components can be metal, plastic, or rubber, and preferably constitute at least those components that a user could come in contact with during operation or maintenance of the disposer and/or components that come in contact with food waste. The plastic and rubber components can either be embedded or coated with an antimicrobial agent. The metal components are preferably powder coated. Exemplary components within the disposer benefiting from such antimicrobial treatment include a metal shredder plate, a metal shredder ring, a rubber mounting gasket, a rubber vibration isolation mount, a rubber vibration isolation tailpipe coupling, and the plastic discharge outlet and associated rubber seals.
