    • The present disclosure relates to a method and a network node 100 in a wireless communications network 1. In particular, it relates to selecting a frequency band for operation for user equipment 9 in the wireless communications network 1. The frequency band to be selected is either a licensed frequency band or an unlicensed frequency band. The network node 100 is a macro base station 5, or a home base station (7, 700), and is adapted to communicate with user equipments 9 in the wireless communications network 1 which comprises both the macro base station 5 and the home base station (7, 700). The home base station (7, 700) is adapted to support operation in both the licensed frequency band and the unlicensed frequency band. The method comprises obtaining radio condition measurements performed on the licensed frequency band and/or on the unlicensed frequency band; selecting the frequency band, based on the obtained radio condition measurements; and updating the home base station of the selected frequency band to be used for communication with one or more of the user equipments.

    • The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for providing a more flexible configuration of SRS transmission. This is achieved by dynamically triggering a mobile terminal to transmit SRS. Thus, embodiments of the invention allow dynamically trigged SRS in any uplink subframe, even without necessarily reserving resources semi-statically on cell level. This is done by signaling to the terminal whether the mobile terminal should leave the predefined uplink symbol empty for sounding reference signals or use it for data transmission. In case a terminal leaves the last symbol empty for sounding reference signals, there are two possibilities, either the UE shall transmit one or several reference signals from one or several antennas, or the terminal shall leave the last symbol blank since another terminal may be using the resource for sounding. Accordingly, in a specific embodiment, there are at least three different messages that can be conveyed to the terminal: use the predefined uplink symbol for data, leave it blank or use it for sounding reference signals.

    • The present invention uses user-specific resources, as allocated on the uplink, for conveying one or more antenna-specific sounding reference signals (SRSs).
