摘要： A method and apparatus for determining the density of a formation traversed by a borehole operates by: (i) lowering into the borehole a sonde having a resilient member, the member being equipped with a backscatter detection device having a photon source, a detector, and a substantially small contact head; (ii) urging the member towards the borehole wall facing the contact head; (iii) positioning the contact head on the borehole wall; (iv) irradiating the formation with photons from the source; (v) detecting photons scattered by the formation using the detector; (vi) generating count rate signals responsive to the photons detected by the detector; and (vii) processing the count rate signals to derive the density of the formation. The photon source may be an x-ray generator, radioscopic, or other source. The detector may include a cadmium zinc telluride crystal. Methods and apparatus for calibration are also provided.

摘要： The machine generates an energy output equal to twice the energy input, using a tube 10 m long, with a dia. with a cross-sectional area of 1 sq.cm. A cylinder with a dia. with a cross-sectional area of 10 sq.cm is connected to each end of the tube. 摘要： The work chambers (16a) have at least one suction valve opening during the volume enlargement and a pressure valve (28a,28b) opening during the volume reduction. A displacement component of each work chamber altering its position during the volume alteration of the work chambers is connected with that of the other work chamber by a connecting part at a predetermined distance. The displacement components connected to each other by the connecting part are held by a predetermined lift in opposite directions and displaceably in a guide housing (14) or frame. The guide housing or frame is rotatably located around a horizontally running axis at right-angles to the displacement axis of the connecting parts.
