摘要： The invention relates to an optical method for dimensional inspection of manufactured objects. It improves the precision of the moiré-effect topography by allowing an interpolation between the fringes. The method is the following: phase-modulated interference fringes F are projected onto the object O, an image thereof is made on a previously defined grating R. The phase of the modulated moiré-effect which is formed through the grating R is measured at a point P' in the image plane. It makes it possible to determine by calculation the coordinates of a point P on the object. Scanning the image allows an absolute or relative measurement of the surface of the object whose size may vary from a few millimetres to a few metres.
