    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an easier access to a hemostasis gasket by making a catheter assembly comprising two elements each having a hub disposed at the proximal end thereof, making the threads of the hubs engageable with each other, and providing means for preventing accidental rotational disengagement. SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10 comprises a dilator element 20 having a hub 21 and an introducer element 30 comprising a hub 31. The introducer hub 31 comprises a gasket for hemostasis disposed at the proximal end of the hub 31 and a leg 40 for side arm injection. The dilator element 20 has a dilator 22, and a threaded portion 27 formed on the distal planar surface of the hub 2 1 is screwed to the threaded portion 37 formed on the inner face of lumen 35 in the introducer containing an introducer sheath 32. Further, at least one recess 39 is formed radially on the proximal planar surface 36 of hub 31, and a projecting portion disposed at the distal end of the hub 21 is engaged with the recess 39 so as to attain the rotational fixation.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a simple blood cleaning device which is disposable and can be operated even by a person who does not receive enough training by arranging a pulsating pump to agitate blood in a separating means by transporting the blood to the separating means by the pump from a housing means. CONSTITUTION: A disposable blood cleaning device 10 has a blood source, a blood spike port 12 and a cleaning fluid spike port 14 connectable to a cleaning fluid source used to assist in cleaning blood. Check valves 13 and 15 to prevent a counterflow of blood or a cleaning fluid to a blood container or a cleaning fluid container, are arranged on the tail end of the spike ports 12 and 14. The check valves 13 and 15 are connected to a Y-shaped connecting valve housing 20 by conduits 17 and 19. The Y-shaped valve housing 20 is connected to a pulsating pump 22, and the pulsating pump 22 is connected to a low pressure air source 24. A housing 60 of the pulsating pump 22 has a fluid introducing port 74 and a fluid deriving port 76, and the introducing port 74 is connected to the blood container 16 and a salt water cleaning liquid container 18 by a tube 78.
