    • Vertebral implants sized to be inserted into a patient and positioned in an interspinous space. The implants may include a body and a pair of wings that extend outward beyond a first side of the body. The implants are sized and configured for the body to be positioned in the interspinous space with the wings on opposing lateral sides of one of the spinous processes. The wings may be adjusted to various spaced-apart distances to be positioned on the opposing sides of the spinous process. The implants may further be selectively adjustable between a collapsed orientation and a deployed orientation. The collapsed orientation includes one or both wings aligned with the main body to reduce an overall size of the implant to facilitate insertion into a patient. The extended orientation includes the wings extending outward from the first side of the body and along the lateral sides of the spinous process.

    • Medical devices and related methods for the treatment of spinal conditions are described herein. In one embodiment, a method includes disposing at least a portion of an implant in a space between adjacent spinous processes. The implant has a support member, a distal hub member, and an expandable member. At least a portion of the support member is disposed into the space between the adjacent spinous processes. A threaded member coupled to the distal hub member is rotated in a first rotational direction such that the distal hub member is moved in a first direction along a path defined by a longitudinal axis of the support member and at least a portion of the expandable member is moved to an expanded configuration.

    • Spinal implants and methods for performing surgical procedures on the spine are describe herein. In one embodiment, for example, a method includes percutaneously inserting into a body an expandable member having a first configuration, a second configuration and a third configuration. The expandable member includes a support portion and a retention portion. The support portion has a longitudinal axis and is configured to be disposed between adjacent spinous processes. The retention portion is configured to limit movement of the support portion along the longitudinal axis. When the expandable member is in the first configuration, it is disposed in a first location between the adjacent spinous processes. The expandable member is then expanded from the first configuration to the second configuration. The expandable member is then contracted from the second configuration to the third configuration and disposed in a second location, the second location being different from the first location.
