摘要： 662,042. Diving equipment. HAUSER, A. Nov. 10, 1949. [Nov. 11, 1948] No. 28782/49. Class 68 (ii). An air reservoir 6 is placed in the supply line 5 and is connected through a reducing- valve 3 to a motor-compressor unit 2, the reservoir 6 being arranged to cool and filter the air and to provide an emergency supply if the compressor unit fails. The reservoir 6 is weighted at 19 to keep it vertical when submerged, and air is admitted tangentially by a pipe 13 so that cooling is quickly effected. The cooled air rises through filter material 15, 16 and enters the lower pipe 5 through a pipe 17, whilst condensed water collects at 18 at the bottom of the reservoir. The pipe 5 is connected to a valve 7 which is carried on the diver's breastplate and is adjusted by him, the valve being connected by a pipe passing under his arm to the back of his helmet 9 which has an outlet valve 9 2 .

Pressure fluid from a conduit 12 is discharged through orifices 3 on the trailing edge of the blades so that the blades are rotated by reaction. The propeller assembly can be rotated about a vertical axis 13 to utilise the propeller thrust for steering and can be adjusted vertically to vary the depth of immersion. In a modification two propellers are mounted side by side and are adjustable about a vertical axis.
