    • A control arrangement for at least one hydraulic consumer in which the consumer can be controlled with respect to direction and speed via a directional control valve device, in which two consumer lines lead from the directional control valve device to the consumer, each of which consumer lines can be connected to a pump and a tank respectively via a directional control valve piston and a metering restrictor and in which a throttle valve having a servo-piston is associated with each consumer line. The consumer is to be held free of leakage oil in a given position. This is achieved in the manner that the servo-piston of the throttle valve is arranged downstream of the directional control valve piston and the metering restrictor in the consumer line, that a valve seat can be acted on by the servo-piston, that the servo-piston has at its front a first pressure surface which can be acted on for the opening of the throttle valve by the pressure prevailing downstream of the directional control valve device and the metering restrictor in the corresponding consumer line, at its rear a pressure surface which can be acted on, for the closing of the throttle valve, by a control pressure which, in the position of rest of the directional control valve piston, is generated solely by the load, and at its front a third pressure surface which, for an opening of the throttle valve, can be acted on by the load pressure prevailing in the corresponding consumer line between throttle valve and consumer, and that upon a discharge of the corresponding consumer line to the tank, the pressure acting on the second pressure surface can be reduced.

    • For a load independent control of a plurality of simultaneously actuable hydraulic users, a throttle valve (pressure compensator) is assigned to the control valve of each user at a location downstream with respect to the metering orifice formed by said control valves; said throttle valve is subjected in opening direction to the pump pressure and in closing direction, via a shuttle valve, either to a load pressure of the respective user or to a pressure which is determined by the highest load pressure occurring for one of said users. Said highest load pressure which is reported by a shuttle valve chain is supplied as control pressure to a pressure reducing valve, the input side thereof being connected with the pressure line of the pump and the output side thereof being connected to control lines leading to the throttle valves assigned to the individual control valves and to the control line for the pump control. The control of the pump control as well as of the pressure compensators by means of the highest indirect load pressure LS to the pressure reducing valve has the advantage that for starting and changing of direction, respectively, the danger of a sinking of the user is avoided.

    • A valve system is provided for the load-independent control of a plurality of simultaneously operated hydraulic consumers, i.e. regardless of variations in load pressure. Fluid flow in a consumer line to each consumer passes across a compensating flow control valve, i.e. a compensator. The valve piston thereof being displaceable to the open position by a pressure downstream of a flowmeter against the opposing resistance offered by a spring and by the respective maximum load pressure of the consumers at a time. The actual highest load pressure is also available at a regulator for the common variable displacement supply pump feeding the consumers. In an attempt to ease actuation of the main valves, yet offering the capability to serve different functional requirements by slightly modifying the circuitry and to ensure that insufficient fluid supply from the pump does not exclusively affect the consumer actually subject to the maximum load, the compensator and flowmeter are arranged in a secondary flow path carrying only a fraction of the total consumer fluid supply. The main volume flow rate is regulated by the control edge of greater cross section which moves together with the pressure sensitive displacements of the compensator spool. The control edge is supplied by a valve means capable of reducing fluid pressure in a primary supply line to the pressure level downstream of the flowmeter.
