    • A method (40), system (10) and control device (14) are provided for delivering information, such as Emergency Alert System (EAS) information, to one or more client devices (16) in a network, e.g., a home network or business network. The control device (14), which is connected to the client devices (16) via a suitable home or business network connection, receives information, such as EAS information, from an appropriate transmission source (22). The control device (14) performs any one or more of a number of functions that allows the information to be properly received by appropriate client devices (16). Such functions include formatting or encoding the information as needed by the client devices (16) to properly receive the information. Also, using a tuner (38), the control device (14) can be tuned to an appropriate channel for providing the information to the appropriate client devices (16).

    • A display system (902) and method for increasing the brightness of an image through the use of a color wheel (504) having white light generating segment. The display system comprises a RGBW processing function (906), a hue correction function (906), and a gain correction function (904). The RGBW processing function (906) includes circuitry to generate an intensity word for use during the white light generating segment. The hue correction function (906) includes circuitry to adjust the relative intensities of the primary color components to compensate for the addition of the white segment data. The gain correction function (904) includes circuitry to adjust the intensity of pixel data based on the white content of the pixel and the intensity of the pixel. After the pixel data is processed, it is formatted by data formatting logic (912) and displayed using a spatial light modulator (914).

    • A sequential color display system using three spatial light modulators and dichroic filters to sequentially provide a primary color light beam to a projection spatial light modulator. A set of dichroic filters separates a white light beam into primary colored light beams. Each primary colored light beam is modulated by a spatial light modulator to selectively allow it to travel to a second set of dichroic filters. The second set of dichroic filters recombines the primary color light beams—only one of which is typically active at any given time—to form a sequential color light beam. A projection spatial light modulator selectively modulates the sequential color light beam to form a sequential color image projected onto an image plane.
