    • Techniques to manage transitions between private and public wireless networks for wireless devices are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a logic circuit and a memory unit. The apparatus may further include connection logic operative on the logic circuit to attempt a network connection by: retrieving a first access location value from the memory unit when attempting a network connection from the apparatus; retrieving a stored internal probe link from the memory unit when the access location value is internal; retrieving a stored external probe link from the memory unit when the access location value is external; attempting to connect to a network site referenced by the retrieved probe link; and connecting to a final location via the network site when the connection attempt to the network site is successful. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    • An auto-emulsifying cleaning composition capable of emulsifying upon contact with water, the composition in one typical embodiment comprising, based on the total weight of the composition, (a) from about 1% to about 99% by weight a blend of dibasic esters; (b) from about 1% to about 40% by weight of a blend of surfactants consisting of an organic anion neutralized with an organic cation, where either or both of the anion and the cation have surfactant properties, and the complex of which is soluble in the dibasic ester solvent blend. The blend of surfactants is typically a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, which may or may not be used in conjunction with non-ionic surfactants. The dibasic esters are be derived from a blend of adipic, glutaric, and succinic diacids, and, in one particular embodiment, the blend comprises dialkyl adipate, dialkyl methylglutarate and dialkyl ethylsuccinate, wherein the alkyl groups individually comprise a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group.

    • An environmentally-friendly cleaning composition for industrial and consumer applications comprising (a) a blend of dibasic esters, (b) one or more surfactants (c) and, optionally, (d) water or a solvent. The dibasic esters are be derived from a blend of adipic, glutaric, and succinic diacids, and, in one particular embodiment, the blend comprises dialkyl adipate, dialkyl methylglutarate and dialkyl ethylsuccinate, wherein the alkyl groups individually comprise a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group. The one or more surfactants are typically chosen from alcohol alkoxylate, an alkyl phenol ethoxylate, a terpene, a terpene alkoxylate or any derivates thereof. Optionally, additional components or additives including delaminates such as pinene and d-limonene, fragrances, whiteners, stabilizers, thickeners and the like can be added to the composition. The industrial or consumer application selected from the group consisting of a graffiti cleaner, a painted-substrate cleaner, an ink cleaner, a metal substrate cleaner, a plastic substrate cleaner, an environmentally friendly cleaner, a stain-spot cleaner, an industrial hand cleaner, a resin cleaner, a tar resin cleaner, a textile cleaner, a paint stripper and any combination thereof.
