    • In a differential transmission line, a substrate has first and second surfaces parallel to each other, and a first grounding conductor is formed on the second surface of the substrate. A dielectric layer is formed on the first grounding conductor, and a second grounding conductor is formed on the dielectric layer. First and the second signal conductors are formed to be parallel to each other on the first surface of the substrate. The first signal conductor and the first and second grounding conductors constitute a first transmission line, and the second signal conductor and the first and second grounding conductors constitute a second transmission line. A slot is formed in the first grounding conductor to three-dimensionally intersect with the first and second signal conductors and to be orthogonal to a longitudinal direction thereof, and a connecting conductor is formed for connecting the first grounding conductor with the second grounding conductor.

    • A workpiece hanger carriage (10) is movable along a first rail (11) and a pair of second rails (17,18) having portions (14,20) vertically curved toward each other. The carriage (10) includes a first frame (21) having rollers (26) rollingly engageable with the first rail (11), and a second frame (31) pivotally mounted on the first frame (21) and having a pair of rollers (51,52) rollingly engageable with the second rails (17,18). The first and second frames (21,31) are angularly movable relative to each other to maintain the second frame (31) substantially horizontally at all times when they move along the vertically curved portions (14,20) of the first and second rails (11,17,18). A pair of L-shaped arms (42,43) are pivotally mounted on the second frame (31) in laterally spaced relation for supporting a workpiece (W), the arms (42,43) having a pair of rollers (55,56) rollingly engageable with a pair of guide rails (57,58) having vertically curved portions ( 59). The L-shaped arms (42,43) are pivotally movable away from each other for releasing the workpiece (W) when their rollers (55,56) move along the vertically curved portions (59) of the guide rails (57,58).

    • A video and audio signal recording apparatus includes frequency-modulators in which an audio signal, for example, a stereophonic left signal, modulates first and second carriers with different frequencies so as to provide first and second FM audio signals, respectively, a first mixing circuit for mixing the first FM audio signal with a video signal, such as, a composite color video signal having a frequency modulated luminance component signal in a frequency band separated from the band of a frequency-converted chrominance component signal so as to provide an interval therebetween for accommodating the FM audio signals, a second mixing circuit for mixing the second FM audio signal with the video signal, first and second magnetic heads respectively receiving first and second mixed audio and video signals from the first and second mixing circuits, respectively, for recording in respective record tracks which are adjacent each other on a magnetic record medium, the heads and record medium having a magnetic characteristic which varies with the frequency of the signal being recorded, and the levels of the FM audio signals in the first and second mixed signals being substantially less than the levels of the FM luminance and frequency converted chrominance signal and different from each other in the sense to compensate for the magnetic characteristic which varies with frequency. The levels of the FM audio signals in the first and second mixed audio and video signals are desirably varied upon changes in the level of the audio signal to be recorded.
