摘要： The present invention provides a method for efficiently producing a sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound having a high purity and a good polymerizability while preventing production of a byproduct, and provides a sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound containing fewer impurities and having a good radical (co)polymerizability.The present invention provides a method of producing a sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound by reacting a sulfurous acid compound with a compound represented by the formula (1): wherein R1 represents a single bond, a CH2 group, or a CH2CH2 group, and R2 represents H, or a CH3 group, the method comprising the steps of: adjusting pH of a reaction system to 5.5 or greater with use of an alkaline substance; and adding the compound represented by the formula (1) to a reaction vessel containing the sulfurous acid compound.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide: a water-soluble polymer which can exercise a high calcium-ion-binding ability and a high clay dispersibility even under circumstances where high-hardness water is used; and a process for producing such a water-soluble polymer with ease and good productivity. As a means of achieving this object, the water-soluble polymer according to the present invention has: (1) a calcium-ion-binding ability of not less than 470 mgCaCO3/g and further a clay dispersibility of not less than 0.90 in a test liquid having a calcium concentration of 50 ppm in terms of calcium carbonate; or (2) a calcium-ion-binding ability of not less than 430 mgCaCO3/g and further a clay dispersibility of not less than 0.70 in a test liquid having a calcium concentration of 100 ppm in terms of calcium carbonate.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a polymer which is suitable as a detergent builder in that it exerts an excellent detergency and it has no adverse effect on the environment, and is suitable as a cement admixture in that it is excellent in cement dispersibility, and workability is better. As a means of achieving this object, a polymer of the present invention is: a polymer obtained by a polymerization reaction using a polyaminepolyether compound, an unsaturated carboxylic monomer and polyalkylene glycols as a raw material, characterized in that an amount of a polyaminepolyether compound is 50% by weight or larger relative to a total amount of a polyaminepolyether compound and polyalkylene glycols; or a polymer obtained by a polymerization reaction using a polyaminepolyether compound and an unsaturated carboxylic monomer as a raw material, characterized in that an amount of an unsaturated carboxylic monomer is less than 15% by weight relative to a total amount of a polyaminepolyether compound and an unsaturated carboxylic monomer, or an unsaturated carboxylic monomer contains acrylic acid as an essential component, and an amount of remaining acrylic acid after the reaction is less than 3% by weight.

The production process for a terminal-end-stabilized glyoxylic acid (salt)-based polymer comprises the step of polymerizing a monomer component including a glyoxylic acid ester in order to produce the terminal-end-stabilized glyoxylic acid (salt)-based polymer, wherein a terminal end stabilizer is used as a reaction medium of the polymerization.
