    • An apparatus for boring a wellbore, including a bit body having a first end, an inner cavity, and a second end. The first end is connected to a workstring that is configured to deliver a rotational force to the bit body. The inner cavity contains a profile having a first radial cam surface. The second end includes a working face containing a cutting member. The apparatus also includes a pilot bit rotatively connected within the inner cavity. A second radial cam surface is contained on a first end of the pilot bit. The first and second radial cam surfaces are operatively configured to deliver a hammering force. A second end of the pilot bit may include an engaging surface configured to engage a formation surrounding the wellbore. The bit body rotates relative to the pilot bit.

    • A CV joint for a downhole drilling motor includes a center shaft including a top shaft section and a bottom shaft section. The top shaft section is at least partially housed within a cavity of a first insert, which is housed within a cavity of a rotor adapter. The bottom shaft section is at least partially housed within a cavity of a second insert, which is housed within a cavity of a drive shaft adapter. An outer surface of the top and bottom shaft sections may include multiple top shaft pockets and multiple bottom shaft pockets, respectively. The first and second inserts may each include a series of recesses. Top shear members may be partially housed within the top shaft pockets and the recesses of the first insert. Bottom shear members may be partially housed within the bottom shaft pockets and the recesses of the second insert.

    • A stabilizer assembly for a tubular member includes a stabilizing body dimensioned to fit around the tubular member, a central portion having a radial projection, and a first end having a first threaded outer surface and a set of integral first elastic members. A first nut member includes a proximal end with a threaded inner surface configured to engage the first threaded outer surface of the stabilizing body and a central portion with a first tapered inner surface configured to engage the first elastic members of the stabilizing body. Threading the first nut member onto the first end of the stabilizing body forces the first elastic members to engage the first tapered inner surface of the first nut member thereby radially flexing the first elastic members to engage the tubular member. An inner surface of a distal end of each first elastic member may include a grip section.
