[Classes 136 (i) and 136 (iii).] A device for protecting cycle saddles from the weather, and applicable also as a luggage-carrier, comprises an underframe a adapted to be secured to the rear fork of the cycle, and a cover e which is connected to the underframe a by links h, j in such a manner that, when not in use as a cover, it lies on the underframe (in which position it may be used as a carrier), and when required as a cover, it can be swung upwards, without being inverted, into the saddle-covering position. The front end of the underframe a is apertured at a for bolting to the rear fork, and the rear part is supported by pivoted stays c adapted to be clipped to the fork. The cover e is held in its lowered position on the underframe a by a slidable fastening strip l, l having turned-down members l , l to engage under transverse bracing-strips a , the fastening being released by pulling back the strip l, l against the action of tension springs. The cover may be provided with a clip to engage the saddle.
