    • An expandable bladder toy water gun (1) is provided. It includes a main housing (3) having a barrel (9), a water ejection nozzle (11), a handle (5), a trigger (7), a water storage tank (33), a hand pump (45) as well as an inflatable bladder (13) connected to the main housing (3). The pump (45) is connected to both the tank (33) and the bladder (13). There is a bladder release valve (31) with an upstream side connected to the bladder (13) and a downstream side connected to the nozzle (11) for water ejection when the trigger (7) is pulled. The elasticity of the bladder (13) is used as the motive force for liquid ejection. The bladder is a tubular member which has a section (91) of weakened elastic strength relative to the remainder of the member. In one embodiment, the bladder has a variable diameter, larger at its front end and smaller at its back end. In another embodiment, the bladder has a constant diameter with a wall thickness gradient. The nozzle (11) includes a turbulence control member (213) for enhanced laminar flow ejection which control member has a plurality of linear stream guidance walls.

    • The present invention involves a water gun having at least one pressurizable air/water storage tank, a pressurizing mechanism, a channel of release for shooting water and a release mechanism. The improvement lies in the particular release mechanism of the water gun. This release mechanism is for controlled flow with bursting release of water. It includes a plug valve which is located within a channel of release. The release mechanism has a first spring connected to the plug valve which biases the plug valve to its first, closed position. This first spring and the internal water pressure against the plug valve constitutes the "first force." Linkage connects a trigger to the plug valve such that activation of the trigger provides a second force which moves the linkage so as to move the plug valve from the first, closed position to the second, opened position and release of the trigger permits the first force to bias the plug valve back to its first, closed position. There is also a delay spring located within the linkage itself. When the trigger is pulled, it pulls the delay spring in a direction opposite from an against the first force. This first force is the force of the first spring as well as the internal water pressure holding the valve closed. At some point, the delay spring overcomes the forces of the first force holding the valve closed. At this point, the valve snaps open and there is rapid decrease of water pressure causing a burst of water to exit the water gun. This creates a controllable burst and a realistic trigger release.

    • The present invention is directed to a toy water gun which is operated by selectively releasing water from a pressurized water reservoir. The present invention has a manually operated pump incorporated into the design. As the pump is cycled, water and/or air are drawn from at least one water storage reservoir. Once drawn, the water and/or air are forced into at least one pressure tank. As the amount of water and/or air forced into the pressure tank increases, the pressure of the air displaced by the water within the pressure tank increases. The pressure of the air on the water within the pressure tank increases with each cycle of the pump, until the pump can no longer overcome the pressure of the air of the water within the pressure tank. The pressurized air and water within the pressure tank has an avenue of release that is regulated by the trigger mechanism of the invention which has a safety pressure release within its design. When no force is applied to the trigger, the pressurized water and air are held at bay with no means of release. When force is applied to the trigger, the heavier water is first released from the bottom of the pressurized tank and is channeled through a narrow nozzle. The escape of the pressurized water through the narrow nozzle creates a stream of propelled water that lasts as long as the trigger is engaged or until the pressure within the pressurized tank equals the ambient air pressure. The number of water storage reservoirs and pressure tanks combined totals at least three.

    • The present invention involves a liquid jet propelled rocket and rocket launcher. The launcher has a housing which includes a vessel for holding pressurized air therein, an inlet to the vessel and an outlet from the vessel. Also, the housing has a jet tube receiver extending from the outlet and adapted to connect with a jet tube of a rocket assembly. A pump is connected to the vessel inlet of the housing, the pump is connected for and capable of pumping air into the vessel at a pressure sufficient to launch the rocket assembly. A one way valve is connected to the pump and permits the flow of air only from the pump to the vessel. There is a rocket assembly latch mechanism located on the housing with means for releasing the latch. There are also, a rocket assembly which includes a liquid reservoir for receiving liquid and subsequently receiving air under pressure from the pump, a jet tube extending from the liquid reservoir and adapted to sealably and releasably connect to said jet tube receiver of the housing. The rocket assembly with the jet tube is releasably attachable to the housing with the jet tube coupled in fluid communication with the jet tube receiver by the latch mechanism, wherein the liquid may be stored within the rocket reservoir, and air may be pumped into the rocket reservoir and into the launcher vessel by means of actuating the pump.

    • The present invention is a toy water gun having a housing with extending handle, trigger and barrel. The water gun is connected to at least one remote water source external from and indirectly connected to the housing. The indirect connection is by tubing or hosing external of said housing and having a vent to surrounding ambient atmosphere so air may enter therethrough. Also included is a pressurized air and water storage tank external from and connected to the housing. The pressurized tank has an orifice between said pressurized tank and said housing through which all liquids and gasses pass. There is also a pumping means for withdrawing air or water from the remote source or sources, and for depositing the withdrawn air or water into the pressurized tank. A plurality of one-way flow valves are included wherein at least one one-way flow valve prohibits water and air from flowing from the pressurized tank to the pumping means, at least one said one-way flow valve prohibits water and air from flowing from the pumping means to the remote source or sources of air and water. There is a nozzle with a narrow orifice therethrough, which affixed to the end of said barrel and an avenue of release connecting the nozzle to the pressurized tank. There is also a controlling means for regulating the flow of water and air through the avenue of release, the controlling means being actuatable by the trigger.
