The map update control method comprises the following steps: step 1, obtaining map attribute measurement data corresponding to a current map of a preset working area; step 2, determining whether the current map and a pre-stored historical map reach a preset matching degree according to the map attribute measurement data when detecting that the visual robot completes one traversal of the preset working area; if the current map and the pre-stored historical map reach the preset matching degree, determining to save the current map; if the current map and the pre-stored historical map do not reach the preset matching degree, determining not to save the current map but save the pre-stored historical map; and step3, when determining to save map attribute information corresponding to the current map, writing the map attribute information corresponding to the current map into a map storage medium so as to update map attribute information corresponding to the historical map. Thus, the degree of familiarity of the robot with the working area can be enhanced, and the capability of the robot to learn about the preset working area can be improved.

    • A recharging control method for a desktop robot. A desktop robot comprises a robot body provided with a camera and a base. The recharging control method comprises: when the robot body receives a charging instruction, collecting desktop environment images, controlling the collected two successive frames of images to be subjected to feature matching, and calculating position variation of the robot body so as to construct a corresponding grid map (step A); receiving a wireless beacon modulated and transmitted by the base, and analyzing an initial orientation of the base according to intensity information of the wireless beacon (step B); planning a recharging path by combining the position variation of the robot body and the analyzed initial orientation (step C); controlling the robot body to move along the recharging path (step D); when the intensity of the wireless beacon is within a preset threshold range, controlling the collected two successive frames of images to be subjected to feature matching, and calculating a vector value of the current position of the robot body, thus searching for the base to complete docking and charging (step E), thereby improving the efficiency of automatic recharging of the desktop robot.
