    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geometric shape, conquering a defect in conventional technique, for the assembly window of a differential case. SOLUTION: A differential case 112 is provided, and it, including at least one assembly window formed on the differential case 112, can have access to the inside chamber of the differential case 112. The assembly window 122a in the differential case 112 is demarcated by a pair of opposite circular edge portions of the differential case 112 mutually connected by a pair of opposite slender edge portions 154 of the differential case 112. The pair of opposite slender edge portions 154 have a dimension between the edge portions 154 slightly larger than the outer diameters of a pair of side gears, to permit approach with the angle of the side gear to the chamber, and subsequent matching to an axial line in a longitudinal direction. The pair of opposite circular edge portions have radiuses slightly larger than the radiuses of a pair of pinion gears, to permit the approach of the pinion gears into the chamber, and the subsequent matching to another axial line in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the gear constitution part of the differential case 112 can be simply assembled by the assembly window 122a, to improve structural and functional characteristics in one side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite ball stud minimizing a labor cost and a manufacturing cost by including a standard bolt and an insert of a polymer material mounted on the head of a bolt or surrounding the head for sectioning a spherical ball or partially spherical ball in a hybrid ball stud. SOLUTION: A hybrid ball stud 12 includes a bolt 26 having a shaft part 28 in which an outside screw 30 is formed and a head part 32. The bolt 26 is a standard 'stock' of a round-head bolt 26. The head part 32 of the bolt 26 has a semi-spherical shape and sections an outside surface 34 engaged to an inner wall surface of a socket. An outside surface 42 of an insert 36 of a polymer material is engaged to an inside surface of the socket. The radius of the insert 36 of the high polymer material is the same as that of the head part 32 so as to form a spherical ball 44 held on the socket in cooperation so as to perform angular motion for a housing and a liner. Therefore, the ball stud 12 can be manufactured and assembled by using the inexpensive and standard round-head bolt 26.
