摘要： A method of radially tracking the information track of a multi-layer optical record carrier is disclosed. The method comprises generating a push-pull tracking signal derived from the light of a main spot, a first side spot and a second side spot falling on an optical detector, wherein the main spot, the first side spot and the second side spot are formed by focusing a main radiation beam, a first side radiation beam and a second side radiation beam, respectively, taking into consideration the effect of a background spot resulting from reflections of the main spot from out-of-focus layers of the multi-layer optical record carrier. The method is useful for optical pick-up units used for multi-layer discs such as Blu-ray discs, HD-DVD and DVD.

摘要： The invention relates to an electronic textile comprising a textile substrate having a substrate electrode, and an electronic component having a component electrode. The component electrode is in electrically conductive contact with the substrate electrode via a coupling layer having a directionally dependent conductance so as to preferentially allow an electrical current to flow between the substrate electrode and the component electrode. As the coupling layer does not have to be patterned to prevent the occurrence of parasitic electrical currents, the electrically conductive contact between the substrate electrode and the component electrode has an improved reliability.

摘要： The invention relates to optical data storage systems and, more particularly, to an apparatus and optical scanning device for scanning data stored on an optical record carrier having multiple information layers. When scanning multi-information-layer optical record carriers, the reflection from an out-of-focus information layer interferes with the reflection from the in-focus information layer. This interference pattern changes when the distance between the layers varies, resulting in coherent crosstalk. The tracking error signal can be distorted by this coherent cross-talk. In the situation that a three-beam tracking method is applied mainly caused by distortions of the tracking signals from the satellite spots. The invention provides a solution to reduce this coherent cross-talk.
