摘要： A material for semiconductor screens and its use for manufacturing cables, capacitors and electromagnetic shielding for electrical and electronic devices, are described. Cables and electrical and electronic devices containing said material are also described. The semiconductor screen consists of a polymeric matrix containing one or more polymers and 5-70 % by weight of one or more dispersed, conjugated and undoped polymers. In the absence of an electrical field, screen conductivity is very low, but conductivity increases in proportion to the field applied (see curves 2-9 in the figure).

SOLUTION: An insulating element 1 is irradiated by a primary electron beam 30. Whose property is to be determined from a radiation unit 20 of an electron radiating/receiving assembly 2. As a response, a secondary electron beam 31 is emitted out of the element 2 to be sent back and received by a unit 21. Based on the electron beam 31, the time-series electric current curve can be obtained. A comparison unit 4 compares the time-series electric current curve of the electron beam 31 with the standard time-series electric current curve G and confirms whether the time-series electric current curve of the electron beam 31 can be registered or not. In the case that the time-series electric current curve of the electron beam 31 is confirmed to be registered, it can be assumed that the element 1 is not contaminated. This method can be applicable for detection of contamination and defects of the grain of the insulating material to be used for forming a coating of an electric power cable.
