摘要： A medication cartridge piston of a cartridge for an injection device. In one form, the piston includes a body (32) formed of a first material and including an interior hollow with a rearward facing mouth allowing for insertion of a drive member of the injection device. The body includes a first portion and a second portion disposed rearwared of the first portion, a sealing gland (34) secured to the body and formed of a material that is less rigid than the first material, the sealing gland ringing at least an axial segment of the second portion and having at least one exterior periphery region for sealingly engaging an interior surface of the cartridge barrel, and the body first portion including a thrust surface (4S) within the interior hollow for direct abutment by the drive member, at least a portion of the thrust surface disposed forward of a forward edge of a forwardmost sealing gland exterior periphery region of the at least one exterior periphery region. This piston can be operatively pulled by the drive member in a forward direction within the cartridge barrel to dispense medication from the cartridge. In an alternate embodiment, a piston is provided which is adapted for use with different drive members of injection devices.

摘要： Child- resistant bulk dose dispensing packaging unit, and a method for opening the packaging unit, including a container (101) and a lid (102) engaged with the container. The container includes a reservoir, an aperture (103) at a top end of the reservoir, and a protrusion (704) extending from a surface of the container. The lid engages with the container and slides between a closed position and an open position. The lid includes a top wall (401), a side wall (402a, 402b) extending down from an outer edge of the top wall, and a post (804a) configured to engage the protrusion at a first position when the lid is closed so as to keep the lid closed. At least a portion of the post extends substantially parallel to the side wall at a distance from the side wall. Pressing the side wall inward places the post at a second position, wherein at the second position the post is disengaged from the protrusion.
