摘要： PURPOSE: A door lock for a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent the door from becoming closed in the presence of a child in the drum of the drum type washing machine and to prevent the door from becoming open at the start of the washing operation. CONSTITUTION: A door lock for a drum type washing machine comprises a lock unit and a lock ring unit(2000). The lock unit comprises a cover housing(1100), a solenoid(1200), a stopper member(1300), a rotary shaft(1400), a guide member(1500), a spring(1600), a lock member(1700), a torsion spring(1800), and a compression spring(1900). The cover housing is fixed on the front of a door(12), comprises elongated holes on the upper and lower sides and a connecting member is inserted into the front of the cover housing. The solenoid is installed in the cover housing and operates if a signal is input in a state the power is supplied. The stopper member comprises a lock maintaining lever(1310), which is installed in a cylindrical shape so that its one end is inserted into the solenoid to move the stopper member to the left and right and, which is protruded perpendicularly to the axial direction and thus one end of the lock maintaining lever is protruded through the elongated hole formed on the lower side of the cover housing. The rotary shaft is installed in the cover housing and is fixed using a coupling member, which is inserted into the upper and lower parts of the cover housing. The guide member is inserted into the upper part of the rotary shaft to be rotatable and comprises a stepped member(1510) and a bent member(1520), which make the stopper member have a door open state or a door close state. The spring is inserted into a wood screw(1650) coupled to the bent member and the other end of the spring makes elastic contact with the inner side of the cover housing. The lock member is inserted to the lower part of the rotary shaft to be rotatable and makes a hook(1710) hang so that it is rotatable if the stopper member is located in a door open state and it is unable to rotate if the stopper member is located in a door close state. The torsion spring is inserted into the rotary shaft, one end of the torsion spring is fixed to the lock member, the other end makes tight contact with the inside of the cover housing and gives the torque due to the resilient force so that the lock member is separated from a lock ring(2100) of the lock ring unit. The compression spring is inserted into the stopper member, one end of the compression spring is supported on the solenoid and presses the stopper member toward the opposite direction of the solenoid.
