    • PURPOSE: Automatic angle adjustment system and method for a mirror of a vehicle are provided to minimize the error of mirror-angle adjustment since the position of the pupils of a driver is accurately detected using 3D(Three-Dimensional) reconstruction. CONSTITUTION: An automatic angle adjustment method for a mirror of a vehicle is as follows. The image of a driver is taken. The position of the pupils of each mirror is detected using the taken driver image. Monocular visual axes(EL1,EL2) on each mirror(10) are detected using the detected pupil position, and at least one of the visual axes is determined as an applicable visual axis. The angle of the mirror is calculated using the applicable visual axis. The angle of the mirror is adjusted to match with the calculated mirror angle.

    • PURPOSE: A method for generating a face character by contour matching is provided to easily form a face character by selecting a face photograph image and matching a contour based on the face photograph image. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a face photograph image(S1). Positions of eyes of the face photograph image are grasped and the face photograph image is normalized based on the positions(S2). A spline curve is approximated to a face contour on the normalized face photograph image and colors of face components are decided(S3). A texture of the face photograph image and a character image are convoluted(S4). The spline curve is expressed in the contour based on characteristic points and the colors, and character face components are generated through anti-aliasing(S5). A face character image is generated and displayed(S6). A complete character image is generated by combining the face character with a hair, clothes, and accessories selected from a sample database of a server(S7). The generated character is stored or transmitted to the server(S8).

    • PURPOSE: A system for manufacturing and transforming a face photograph by a control point adjusting method is provided to manufacture a new face image by transforming a sample photograph or transform components of a face in a digital photograph. CONSTITUTION: A face image selected by a user is inputted(S1). Positions of both eyes of a photograph image are grasped in a photograph and the face image is normalized based on the positions of the eyes(S1-1). A rotating angle is calculated when the user wants to transform only the selected face(S1-2). A spline curve is approximated by the component of a face to initially set up controls points(S1-3). A range of an occupied area of each component in the face is set up(S2). It is judged whether the changes of the control points are proper(S3). The spline curve transformed according to changes in positions of the control points is approximated and pixel information of each component of the face are rearranged to transform the face(S4). The occupied areas are interpolated(S5). A new face is generated and displayed(S6). Additional transform or make-up is applied to the generated face(S6-1).
