    • PURPOSE: A reinforcing bar connection device making use of double connectors is provided to facilitate placing of concrete, to secure the covering thickness, to save materials, to facilitate construction by a simplified assembling process, and to secure connecting performance of reinforcing bars and homogeneity of quality. CONSTITUTION: In a reinforcing bar connection device making use of double connectors, holes(2) longer than the sleeve length of the connectors are bored in the axial direction in the ends of reinforcing bars(1). If the connectors are each inserted in the holes to make the ends of sleeves(4) of the connectors correspond to the ends of the holes and nuts(10) are tightened to make the ends of bolts(8) of the connectors connected to the reinforcing bars correspond to the ends of the nuts, the diameters of the sleeves of the connectors in the holes of the axial direction of the reinforcing bars are increased, and the reinforcing bars and the connectors are fixed. If the outside diameter of a connection part is increased under 5 mm, the reinforcing bars and the connectors are connected and the tensile force received from each reinforcing bar causes increase of the diameters of the sleeves of the connectors. A wedge(3) of the connector promotes increase of the diameter of the sleeve of the connector and promotes separation of the reinforcing bars and the connectors. The reinforcing bars and the connectors are fixed by the solidification of concrete and correspondence to the stress is gradually executed. The nut of the connector connected to the each reinforcing bar is fixed by a clamp(13).
