    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing lead oxides easily and effectively by oxidation reaction of molten Pb as a starting material and oxygen. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of lead oxides such as PbO, Pb3O4 and PbSiO3 comprises the steps of: (i) melting Pb; (ii) putting molten Pb into an airtight furnace(1) equipped with a stirring unit(6,7); (iii) heating the furnace over 450deg.C for melting Pb and supplying pure O2 to molten Pb with stirring, wherein the pure O2 supplied through a pipe(8) is preferably liquefied O2 and its partial pressure is 740-770mmHg. Lead oxide(Pb3O4) is prepared by the following steps of: (i) melting Pb at 420-500deg.C; (ii) putting molten Pb and PbO powder into the furnace, wherein the amount of PbO powder for improving the efficiency of oxidation is 15-25pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. of molten Pb; (iii) controlling the temperature of the furnace to be 450-500deg.C. Lead oxide(PbO) is prepared by the following steps of: (i) melting Pb over 420deg.C; (ii) putting molten Pb and PbO powder into the furnace, wherein the amount of PbO powder is 15-25pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. of molten Pb; (iii) controlling the temperature of the furnace to be 550-600deg.C. Lead oxide(PbSiO3) is prepared by the following steps of: (i) melting Pb over 420deg.C; (ii) putting molten Pb and SiO2 powder into the furnace, wherein the amount of SiO2 powder is 15-100pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. of molten Pb ; and (iii) controlling the temperature of the furnace to be 580deg.C or more.
