摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering medium for an air cleaner obtaining the effect of improving fuel consumption and the effect of suppressing black smoke by the improvement of combustion efficiency, reducing energy consumption and a carbon dioxide discharge amount and reducing NOx in a combustion flue gas, by the simple operation of mounting it on the air cleaner.
SOLUTION: The filtering medium for the air cleaner is for cleaning air supplied to a combustion chamber, and includes: (a) hydrophilic fibers, such as polyvinyl alcohol, cotton or rayon fibers, or hydrophilic fibers obtained by hydrophilicizing hydrophobic fibers, such as polyolefin fibers made from polyethylene or polypropylene or the like, polyamide fibers or polyester fibers made from polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate or the like; and (b) metal oxide particles deposited to the hydrophilic fibers.

SOLUTION: The production method for the coating agent comprises a dissolving step for mixing an organic solvent such as alcohol with a nonionic surfactant to obtain a mixture solution and a mixing step for mixing an inorganic oxide colloidal solution dispersed with colloidal particles containing titanium oxide and silver and having 3-20 nm average diameter, with water, such as purified water, and the mixture solution.
